Jufeng Scenic Spot

Jufeng, the highest peak of the Laoshan Mountain, 1,133m above the sea level, is the nearest mountain to the sea and the highest above the sea along the 18,000km coastal line of the main land in our country. All these characteristics give Mt. Laoshan the name of “No 1 Coastal Mountain”

Jufeng is famous for its marvelous spectacles of sea and mountains, fairy astronomical phenomena, beautiful mountain forest, ridges and peaks one after another and natural combination of human culture, sea and the mountains in this landscape, which gains natural beauty from its majesty, quaintness and glory. The marvelous spectacle of “vast sea of cloud”, “huge colorful balloon of clouds” in summer, the fairy scenery of “crystal hangings on the snowy peak” in winter, and watching sun rising on the Laoding top make people acclaim as the peak of perfection. Jufeng Xuzhao (rising sun in the morning on the highest peak) is listed as one of the famous “12 sceneries”.

Jufeng sightseeing spot developed and opened to the outside in 2003 was recognized as one of the “10 elaborate projects”. It is one of the important scenic spots and the elite part as well. In the course of the development, the ideas of The Book of Changes which is called the “headstream of the major principles” or “the leading scripture” are combined with the supernatural characteristics of Jufeng peak, showing the unusual fascination of Yin-yang philosophy (Chinese philosophy of the two opposing principles in nature)—the integrated thought on the combination of the heavens, the earth and human being (the combination of human and nature).
